BE PREPARED! Beginning March 15, with the implementation of the new code, a Manual J for all HVAC change-outs and new construction on both residential and commercial projects is now required.
This two-part workshop lead by Dennis Stroer of Calcs-Plus will cover:
* Introduction to Manual J, D, and S -
Participants will gain an overview of the concepts behind the industry standard ACCA Manuals J, D and S used in the design, installation and duct fabrication for HVAC systems. 3 hours CEU - CILB provider #0003199 / Course # 0609022
* Manual J Basics -
This course will expose attendees to more in-depth usage and application of Manual J. This is a hands-on, interactive learning session and requires each attendee to bring his or her own laptop. No CEU provided for this course.

Rick Roland of Certified Refrigerant Services will explain recent EPA regulatory actions and
the market responses that resulted. Roland will identify the factors involved that could lead to
further price volatility over the next few years. He will analyze reclaim, access to virgin R-22,
and implications to contractors and distributors for recovery. Alternative retrofit refrigerant
choices for servicing existing R-22 equipment will be compared, as well as performance,
efficiency and use requirements for various alternative refrigerant products. Join SWACCA as
strategies for contractors and distributors to deal with price increases and the possibility of
rationing will be discussed.
